BK 09511.7 was collected by Ben Kamm -

I obtained my cutting from Jeremy and proceeded to cut it up for grafting and planted the butt. These are prolific growers and show a lot of promise. Jeremy reportedly got this from Sacred Succulents. BK 09511.7 refers to a specific accession of Trichocereus Santaensis (also known as Echinopsis Santaensis). This particular cactus was collected in the field near the Rio Santa in Ancash, Peru, during a 2009 field trip by Ben Kamm of Sacred Succulents.

Here's what is known about it:

Type: It's a type of San Pedro cactus. Origin: Rio Santa, Ancash, Peru. Appearance: It's described as a "super interesting plant that has the typical discoloration of the skin that this species is known for." Trichocereus Santaensis is often confused with Trichocereus Pachanoi (another San Pedro variety), and some populations of Santaensis can look very similar to Pachanoi. Growth: Like other San Pedro cacti, it's a columnar cactus that can grow quite large.

Source: The BK number indicates it's a specimen collected by Ben Kamm, who is known for his field collections of Trichocereus species.

Disclaimer: Information about specific cactus cultivars can sometimes be found within online cactus communities and from specialized vendors. All clones and hybrids intended for ornamental use only.
