'Frankie' is a highly sought-after cultivar within the Trichocereus genus. Here's a summary of what's known about it:

Origin and History:

"Frankie" is a "rare Oz clone," meaning it originated in Australia.
Its history is somewhat mysterious, but it was originally gifted to Rodni Chisar, a renowned Australian cactus grower, who then cloned and distributed it. Despite its popularity, the exact genetic parentage is not definitively known. It's speculated to be a cross between Trichocereus Peruvianus and Trichocereus Pachanoi, or possibly Peruvianus and chiloensis. Some recent observations also suggest a possible link to Trichocereus knuth.

Characteristics:
"Frankie" is known for its distinct and attractive appearance. Enthusiasts often describe it as having "epic spines and notchy" ribs, making it easily identifiable.
It's generally considered a fast grower, though perhaps not as tall as a typical Trichocereus Pachanoi.

New growth can sometimes exhibit a beautiful blue coloration.
It's a "must-have" for many collectors due to its unique aesthetics.

Flowering:
"Frankie" does flower occasionally. When it does, the flowers are typically white, large, and nocturnal (opening at night).
There's anecdotal evidence that the flowers may not strongly resemble those of Trichocereus chiloensis, further contributing to the mystery of its lineage. Frankie is a mysterious hybrid that needs additional information. The bright green notchy shape make this a very desirable plant with very little information about it. It could be of Chilean decent or something so similar that it is hard to differentiate between. -Patrick Knoll.

Also -the Cactus Jones mentions something about it being a Rod and Delia plant. Any additional information you may have about this hybrid would be helpful. Please email seedgrowncacti@gmail.com with info.
