"ECK" refers to a specific clone of Trichocereus Pachanoi.

Here's what is known about it:

Species: It is identified as Trichocereus Pachanoi ECK. Trichocereus Pachanoi is commonly known as the San Pedro cactus.

Appearance: It is described as having a beautiful dark green coloring and tends to show a pretty bluish glaucous (waxy, powdery blue) coating. It also typically has a single longer spine.

Growth: The clone is noted for growing big. It's described as a "local older stand of cactus."

Availability: It is offered both as potted specimens in various sizes (e.g., 10-12", 13-16" in 1-gallon pots) and as cuttings (e.g., 6-8", 12", 15" lengths).

General Characteristics of Trichocereus pachanoi (which would apply to 'ECK'):
It is a columnar cactus.
It prefers full sun to part sun.
It is drought-tolerant and requires very low water.
It needs well-drained soil, ideally a sharp draining medium organic cactus mix with plenty of sand and perlite (avoiding peat moss).
It can withstand temperatures far below many other cacti, being hardy to 15-20 degrees F (-9 to -6°C) for short periods. However, it's important to avoid the combination of wet and cold.

Flowers are generally large and white, opening at night.

Disclaimer: Information about specific cactus cultivars can sometimes be found within online cactus communities and from specialized vendors. All clones and hybrids intended for ornamental use only.
